Christian Dior Watches
Christian Dior founded his namesake company in 1946; however, the company celebrates its beginnings officially as 1947. Dior was backed financially by Marcel Boussac. In 1955, Dior hired the only assistant that he would ever have, and he was a nineteen-year-old Yves Saint Laurent, who would be given artistic direction for the company, following Dior’s premature death in 1957.
Christian Dior may have only headed the company for a mere ten years, but his empire has grown into one of the most famous and luxurious fashion houses to come out of France.
Watches have become central to the sophistication and class that Dior prides their company on. As a result, Dior have proudly crafted “Swiss made” watches since 1971, and are incredibly precise in their notion that at least half of the components in every watch made must be manufactured in Switzerland, the capital country of watch making.
Dior also prides them on being incredibly precise, intricate and paying a great deal of attention to the smallest amount of detail that goes into their watches. This precision could perhaps be interpreted as obsession, but it is the precision that renown’s Dior watches as being at the utmost; reliable timepieces that not only guarantee a long lifespan, but also look incredible as a fashion accessory.
Nevertheless, of course, with this much expertise and luxury being placed into a Dior watch, they also come at a nice price, making them incredibly popular with fashion icons across the globe. Hollywood actor, for instance, Charlize Theron has recently been spotted wearing a Christian Dior Christal Chronograph Women’s Watch.
