Fendi Watches
Italian fashion house Fendi was founded in 1921, in Rome by Edoardo Fendi and Adele Casagrande. Initially the company was established as a fur and leather shop, however, nearly ninety years on, Fendi specialises in a large array of luxury items, including the well-known “baguette” handbags.
Fendi is one of the few fashion houses that continue to have descendants of the founders playing a role in the business. In 1946, Edoardo and Adele’s five daughters all began working in the family business and the trend continues today with Silvia Venturini Fendi currently working as the Head of Accessories. Fendi now has 160 boutiques across the globe, the most recent having opened in Paris, in February of 2008.
The company’s use of fur has lead to large amounts of controversy, mainly culminating from super model Naomi Campbell’s participation in Fendi’s 1997 Fashion Show, which lead to here expulsion from anti-fur charity People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
Fendi may be best known for its “baguette” handbags, but they also license out their name to watches that feature Swiss parts.
Fendi watches are stylish and fashionable timepieces that fit into the modern day need to be more than just a timepiece, but also multiple uses as stopwatch and fashion statement. The price of Fendi watches varies enormously depending on the model, with a Fendi Classico Men’s Wrist Watch F705110 selling on Ebay for just over £300, whilst a Fendi Ladies Watch (with a recommended retail price of £2,650) is currently selling on Ebay for £1,150.
