Rolex Watches

Leading Watchmaker Rolex’s roots date back to 1905 when brothers-in-law Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis founded their business importing Swiss movements and using them to create watches. However, “Wilsdorf and Davis” as they were known, were anonymous in their occupation, because the watches that they were created were bought by various jewellers who sold them under their own titles, as if they had manufactured them themselves.

Despite this early ambiguity, it was only two years before the partners had established themselves in their own right, and had changed their company name to “Rolex” coinciding with their move to Switzerland.

The Oyster Perpetual collection features twenty-two different models for both ladies and gentlemen. The watches feature a self-winding Oyster movement, and the Swiss manufacturing and parts guarantee 100% reliability ensuring that when a customer purchases an Oyster watch, it will be with them for a long time. Several of the watches in this collection include the date, which is available in 26 world languages, representing the watches diversity. On the back of each watch are the words “Superlative Chronometer Officially certified”, that “means that the movement of this watch has endured 15 days and nights of testing…”

The Cellini collection features seven sophisticated watches with a sense of maturity about them. The Cellini collection’s Orchid watch is encrusted with diamonds along the entire strap and around the watch’s face. The watch alone represents the collections immense style and elegance.

In 2009, Rolex released the 2009 collection, featuring several updates of the original timepieces, including the Date Just, a popular watch in the Oyster Collection.
